Teacher Interview
The teacher I interviewed had many strong opins about some of the questions that I has asked her. The first question i asked her was "how would you like to be evaluated as a teacher?" Her response was based on how well they can teach a subject and how well they get a student to understand it and able to take a test and ace a certain high percentage. The second question was "do you think the school educates the students enough?"she responded with a certain laugh and said sometimes i see students that i can say they actually are doing a great job on and on others its hard to tell. Third question was "do you believe that parents should be more involved with there child's education?" she therefore said that believes that if parents were more involved then students would always be on top with there assignments and there would be less percentage of student failure. Fifth question was "what would you change throughout the school" she would really love if students would put aside there public display affection or spent less time on that and getting early to classes then it would be less of a problem on Saturday school punishments .She would actually change the Saturday schools to picking up trash during their lunch time. Then i asked her if she believed That discipline should be enforced more strictly? This led to her comparing the question before which would be the same answer which would be to pick up trash during lunch "it would show them responsibility and they would wanna behave bad less, so shed hope".Then i proceeded in asking her about the issue with state testing , "this is the part that makes me wanna just get rid of, its a waste of student time and mine, why not just give them the final and my midterm and continue with my class "she said. The way she would like to see a student a student get evaluated in order to graduate would be by doing the actual requirements with no credit recovery she said "it be amazing to see how many students would actually graduate without the extra chances. This came to the questions of if students should fear or be concerned when they know there failing and without a doubt she said "heck yes this should be a sign to put more effort and your butt into gear". This led to our final question which was,"how importou think the students job is from the teachers"? she then came to the conclusion of a teachers job is just to give you information for you to take in and acknowledge it. Its up to the students if they want to actually take it in and want to learn. They can take it as a job and make it a job but you really don't have to . The best way to put to make yourself want to learn is by saying or telling yourself its gonna benefit you.
With this interview it helped me get a point of view of the teacher. The teacher that interviewed gave me great view of what they think over the students, policy and by education . With this point of view id wanna see and improve things at my school.
